Full-time Position – Vancouver

About the position

This multi-faceted position involves motion capture data processing, facial animation, on-set assistant directing for motion capture shoots, technical operation of capture software and facial recording devices, and facial motion capture post processing /animation. There’s also lots of opportunity to work on tool development and R&D of the latest innovations in the industry. Some travel is involved.

About the applicant

Strong people skills are a must. You are comfortable with projecting your voice in a busy environment, directing people, leading meetings. You are incredibly organized and have a knack for time estimations and scheduling. You fit well with our small team and are comfortable delegating tasks as well as receiving direction from others.

You are experienced in motion capture and/or technical animation and understand the principals that make a good shoot and clean data for post processing.  You’re familiar with character rigging and can test and troubleshoot rig issues to accommodate a mocap pipeline. You have proven experience in facial animation with motion capture facial processing being an asset. You are production oriented and can remain focused and efficient even through the less exciting tasks.

Must be a Canadian citizen/ Permanent resident or hold a valid work permit.

Must be a local resident.
